The human brain pan works as a protection shield of our “Thought Apparatus”. Throughout times it was an important object to celebrate spiritual rituals and physical healing. While researching the history of sculls, Akrap’s view on this topic was formed. Sculls bare a personal story. In her artwork Akrap celebrates a new ritual. She rewrites their story, forming them differently, using noble materials, thus enabling them a ‘passage’ to a new life.
